Adrian Petkov, age 20, born in Sofia. In 2013 he graduated from the Classical Lyceum at Sofia University and is currently continuing his education at the National Academy of Arts. Apart from working on the project “The Visual Artists of the National Theatre” of Sofia Art Gallery, he participates as a volunteer in the activities of Sofia City Library. He is interested in Medieval (and Christian) culture, and the modern Bulgarian, Balkan and global policy.
Denitsa Ilieva, born in 1986 in Ruse. She is now in her final year of the Master’s programme in Comparative Art Studies of the New Bulgarian University. She is doing a research on the Ottoman architectural heritage in the Balkans. Participates in various Bulgarian and international projects in the fields of visual anthropology, museum work, alternative teaching methods for children, and preservation of the intangible cultural heritage.
Hristina Grozdanova, born on 22 June 1989 in Sofia. She graduated in Art Studies from the National Academy of Arts. Participated in the organization of two exhibitions – “Graphic Art – an Ambassador”, presented by the Graphics and Illustration Section of the Union of Bulgarian Artists in 2009, and “Crabfish Accord” by Maria Krumovska and Simona Bosilkova in the Pagane Gallery. She is interested in problems relating to scientific illustration and the animalistic genre.
Nadezhda Yanakieva graduated in Art Studies from the New Bulgarian University. She has a scientific interest in Ottoman art and culture, museum work, contemporary art. She participates in curation projects in the fields of contemporary photography and painting.
Natasha Noeva, born on 22 July 1989 in Tutrakan. She earned a BA degree in Art Studies from the NAA, and is currently studying a Master’s programme in Modern and Contemporary Art. She has participated in national and international exhibitions, scientific conferences, and has created the scenography for musical and theatrical productions.
Nikoleta Stanislavova Gologanova, age 24, from Varna. She graduated from the National Secondary School of Humanities and Arts ◦Konstantin Preslavsky◦, Varna, where she specialized in Fine Arts, and from the National Academy of Arts with a degree in Art Studies. Her professional interests are mainly focused on Bulgarian art in the first half of the twentieth century, and certain sociocultural trends in that period.
Reneta Georgieva, age 24. She holds a master’s degree in Art Studies – Modern and Contemporary Art from the NAA, and simultaneously she graduated in Public Administration from the Law Faculty of Plovdiv University ◦Paisiy Hilendarski◦. The latest projects with her participation are „One Design Week“ and “Indifferent Show” by Ivan Moudov at SARIEV Project Space. At present she is a trainee at the Open Arts Foundation. She is interested in art during the socialist period in Bulgaria.
Stanislava Zhekova, age 27. Her interests are in the fields of visual arts, history, literature, and education. She is a soon-to-be graduate in the Master’s programme in Modern and Contemporary Art from the National Academy of Arts. This year she joined the teachers’ team of the Teach for Bulgaria Foundation.
